Redesigned Magic Mouse Ivan Kuleshov: A Triumph in Ergonomics

However, a systems engineer at JetBrains, Ivan Kuleshov, has taken it upon himself to address these issues. Renowned for enhancing Apple products, Kuleshov unveiled his redesigned Magic Mouse on Twitter, claiming it to be “the world’s first ergonomic Magic Mouse with no weaknesses.”
The physical transformation of the mouse includes a 3D-printed wider and deeper base, providing a more comfortable grip. Kuleshov highlighted the extensive engineering work involved in creating the final version, noting the diverse design iterations before reaching the ideal model.
To ensure the buttons remained functional, Kuleshov divided the mouse into two halves and introduced a 3D-printed frame adapter. The resulting ergonomic design is held together a combination of soldering, double-sided tape, and hot glue.
Moreover, Kuleshov’s redesign addresses a prevalent complaint about the Magic Mouse introducing a user-friendly USB-C charging port. Notably, he also managed to rewire battery connectors, allowing users to continue using the mouse while charging.
