AWS Public Sector Symposium held in September made significant announcements related to cloud computing in public sectors. The event emphasized AWS’s active collaboration in the Indian public sector space. Along with established partnerships, AWS also unveiled new collaborations, including alliances with ISRO and CCMB.
Cloud computing, in simple terms, refers to the use of a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store, manage, and process data. AWS, as one of the world’s largest service providers, offers cloud computing services on a massive scale.
One of the notable announcements at the symposium was the collaboration between AWS and ISRO and IN-SPACe. This collaboration aims to accelerate India’s space-tech growth providing space start-ups with access to advanced cloud computing services. Additionally, the organizations will collaborate to train students in AI, ML, analytics, and security.
Another significant partnership highlighted at the event was between AWS and CCMB. CCMB is utilizing AWS cloud computing services to enhance its genome sequencing research projects. The collaboration has reportedly reduced research analysis time 98%.
Furthermore, AWS has partnered with ConveGenius to develop a conversational AI chatbot platform called SwiftChat. This chatbot is designed for government schools and low-fee private schools and is built on AWS. A video showcasing the capabilities of SwiftChat will be released soon.
The AWS Public Sector Symposium 2023 showcased the company’s commitment to advancing cloud computing in the public sector. With its extensive partnerships and collaborations, AWS continues to drive innovation and enable transformative solutions in various fields.
