“City Officials in Brazil Unanimously Approve The Swiftly-Authored Bill Created ChatGPT”

A landmark bill passed unanimously a city council in Brazil was recently revealed to have been entirely drafted an AI known as ChatGPT. The legislation was related to water meters and was put into effect on November 23. Six days later, councilman Ramiro Rosário shared the surprising news that the bill had been generated OpenAI’s ChatGPT, a powerful chatbot.

Rosário explained that he fed ChatGPT a command to create a municipal law that would address a problem affecting the constituents – the theft of water meters. He was astounded the two innovative solutions provided ChatGPT: a 30-day deadline for the city to replace stolen water meters and a provision waiving water bills if the deadline wasn’t met. The proposal created ChatGPT was approved all 36 members of the council, who were unaware that it was AI-generated.

When it was revealed that ChatGPT had formulated the bill, the city council president initially expressed skepticism, calling it a “dangerous precedent.” However, he later changed his mind, acknowledging that the use of AI in lawmaking may become a trend in the future.

Rosário told Business Insider that he kept the fact that it was generated ChatGPT a secret because he feared that lawmakers’ prejudices about AI might have impeded the bill’s approval. Reflecting on the significance of the AI-generated proposal, Rosário stated, “I support the idea that artificial intelligence can help optimize resources and the time of political agents and public servants, allowing them to focus on what is truly essential for their work.”

The introduction of AI into the lawmaking process has sparked debate and may indicate the beginning of a significant technological revolution in legislative processes.
