Congress Hand Stops Bharat Rashtra Samiti Car in Telangana, as Party Comfortably Crosses Majority Mark
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 3: The latest trends from the Election Commission of India reveal that the Congress has comfortably reached the majority mark in Telangana, with the party leading on 61 seats.
According to the Election Commission, the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) is trailing behind, with 36 seats, while the BJP is leading on 10 seats.
Notably, Telangana Congress President, Anumula Revanth Reddy, is leading from the Kamareddy seat, leaving Telangana CM KCR trailing behind. Revanth Reddy, a former two-time MLA from TDP, left the party to join Congress in 2017, and was appointed president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee in 2021.
The Telangana election results are crucial for the Congress as it heads into the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. A win in Karnataka and Telangana would further solidify the party’s presence in the South.
