Hindalco Industries, the metal flagship of Aditya Birla Group, has reported a consolidated profit of Rs 2,196 crore in the quarter ending September 2023. This represents a marginal decrease from the consolidated profit of Rs 2,205 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The company revealed these figures in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
In addition, Hindalco Industries disclosed that its consolidated total income for the July-September period fell to Rs 54,632 crore from Rs 56,504 crore in the year-ago period.
Hindalco Industries is a USD 28-billion metal powerhouse and holds the title of the world’s largest aluminium company revenues. The company is also a major player in the copper industry, meeting over half of the country’s copper requirement.
