Renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, famous for directing multi-starrer movies such as “Nagin”, “Jaani Dushman”, and “Naukar Biwi Ka”, has passed away at the age of 95. The news was confirmed family friend Vijay Grover, who stated that Kohli died at his Mumbai residence on Friday morning.
Kohli, known for collaborating with top stars of the 1970s and 1980s including Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha, and Reena Roy, left behind a legacy of impactful films. Grover described his peaceful passing, revealing how Kohli’s son found him on the floor after he did not come out of the shower, and a doctor later declared him dead.
The funeral rites for Kohli are scheduled to take place at the Santacruz Hindu crematorium at 5:30 pm, with some of his other notable films being “Badle Ki Aag”, “Raaj Tilak”, and “Pati Patni Aur Tawaif”. Kohli is survived his wife Nishi Kohli and son Armaan Kohli, who also pursued a career in acting.
