What is the format of PSL 2024?
A total of six franchises will participate in PSL season 9. A total of 34 matches would be played in the season. The group stage would constitute of 30 games, with four knockout matches to be played, including the final.
Each team plays the other five teams, twice each in a round-robin format in the group stage. The top four teams at the end of the group stage would qualify for the knockout rounds.
The knockouts would be played in a system, similar to that of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, followed the the Final.
What time will the matches start in India?
On days involving a solitary match, the scheduled timing is 8:00 pm IST. On double-header matchdays, the scenario would be a bit different. The day matches of the double-header matchdays will begin at 2:30 pm IST, with the second match scheduled to start at 8:00 pm IST.
