Rinku Singh credits IPL for boosting his confidence and composure under pressure

Indian batter Rinku Singh, who credited his composed approach during pressure moments in the ongoing T20I series against Australia to his experience in the Indian Premier League, shone in India’s victory against the visiting team. His 29-ball 46, along with Jitesh Sharma’s impressive 35 off 19 balls in his series debut, helped India secure a challenging 174 for nine before restricting Australia to 154/7. This win put India in a winning position with a 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

Reflecting on his calmness under pressure, Rinku mentioned his several years of IPL experience, stating, “I have been playing in the IPL for 5-6 years now. So, that has given me the confidence. I back myself, try to keep myself calm.” Jitesh Sharma, who also batted impressively in the match, expressed his admiration for Rinku’s composure under pressure. Replacing Ishan Kishan as the wicketkeeper-batter, Jitesh thanked Rinku for helping him stay calm during his innings and appreciated Rinku’s guidance to stay composed.

Both Rinku and Jitesh played crucial roles in India’s comeback when the team was struggling at 111 for 4 in the 14th over.
