The Noida Traffic Police has released a traffic advisory ahead of the upcoming International Trade Show and MotoGP race, stating that vehicular movement on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be restricted from September 21 to 25. The advisory aims to manage the expected increase in traffic during these events.

According to the advisory, heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles coming from Delhi to Gautam Buddha Nagar will not be allowed to enter or move within the area from 6 a.m. on Thursday. Additionally, heavy vehicles will be restricted from using the DND Flyway, Chilla Road, Kalindi Kunj, New Ashok Nagar, and Jhundpura borders.

To ensure smoother traffic flow, the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway will be off-limits to buses, heavy vehicles, and non-commercial vehicles, with exceptions made for vehicles transporting essential goods such as milk, vegetables, and medicines.

The advisory also mentions that there will be restrictions near Pari Chowk and that vehicular movement throughout the city will be affected. In light of this, the Noida traffic police have established a helpline number (9971009001 and 9355057381) to assist commuters with traffic-related issues. Commuters are also encouraged to utilize the metro system during the specified dates.

In addition to the traffic advisory, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will be increasing the frequency of trains on the Aqua Line during the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show. From September 21 to 25, metro trains on the Aqua Line will run at shorter intervals to accommodate the expected surge in passengers.

Entry for the general public to the trade show is free from 3 pm to 8 pm, as announced Rakesh Kumar, chairman of the India Expo Centre and Mart. The Aqua Line metro normally runs at a 10-minute interval, but during peak hours (8 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 8 pm), trains will arrive every 7.5 minutes. The NMRC also provides parking facilities at eight Aqua Line metro stations, including Sector 51, Sector 76, NSEZ, Sector 142, Sector-137, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, and Delta 1.

The first Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, set to take place from September 21 to 25, will be inaugurated President Droupadi Murmu during her visit to Greater Noida on Thursday. The trade show aims to showcase various industries and promote trade opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.

With these measures in place, authorities are working towards ensuring smooth traffic management and facilitating convenient transportation for residents and visitors during these significant events.
