Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ opens to record-breaking Rs 44.50 crore on the first day
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 15 (ANI): Superstar Salman Khan’s latest film, ‘Tiger 3’, has shattered records with its massive opening day collection of Rs 44.50 crore. The film, released on November 12, has already raked in Rs 148.50 crore, marking the biggest opening in Salman Khan’s career.
Expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming response, Salman Khan said, “I’m delighted with the response from the audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start, and I’m happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story. Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. So, to see it get more and more love film after film is really special. I hope the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide.”
Directed Maneesh Sharma, ‘Tiger 3’ also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, in the third installment of the Tiger franchise. The film is also a part of the YRF Spy Universe, with cameo appearances of Shah Rukh Khan and a post-credit scene featuring Hrithik Roshan.
The film follows a new mission involving RA&W agent Tiger (Salman) and ISI agent Zoya (Katrina Kaif), similar to the previous installments ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
Prior to the film’s release, Salman Khan described the intense bike chasing scene as the toughest aspect of the ‘Tiger 3’ shoot, while also expressing his excitement for a dance track in the film.
Salman Khan also shared his hopes for the film’s success, stating, “Audiences have a connection with Tiger, they have followed his journey, they feel a connection with the characters and this time around the film is more personal, more emotional.”
With ‘Tiger 3’ soaring at the box office, Salman Khan’s popularity continues to reign supreme as he delivers yet another blockbuster. (ANI)
