Six students at Jadavpur University (JU) have been banned from entering the campus indefinitely after being linked to the death of a first-year student in August. The decision was made following a recommendation from the university’s anti-ragging committee. The students are currently in judicial custody at Presidency Jail. The incident has brought attention to the issue of ragging on university campuses.
