Weekly Summary: Market Capitalization of 7 out of the top 10 companies increases Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

Last week, the combined market valuation of seven of the top 10 valued firms increased Rs 1,50,679.28 crore. The uptick was led IT giants Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys, indicating an overall optimistic trend in equities. The BSE benchmark also saw a 1.37 percent surge, equivalent to 890.05 points.

TCS emerged as the biggest gainer, with its valuation climbing Rs 62,148.99 crore to reach Rs 12,81,637.63 crore. Meanwhile, Infosys saw a market capitalisation (mcap) increase of Rs 28,616.98 crore, bringing its total to Rs 5,96,681.75 crore.

Other gainers included Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, and Bharti Airtel, all seeing increases in their market valuation. On the other hand, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, and Bajaj Finance faced erosion from their market valuation.

Reliance Industries maintained its position as the most valued company, with TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, and Bajaj Finance following in that order. The overall positive movement in these market valuations reflects a strong week for these major companies.
